OBJECTIVES + RESULTS
Warner Bros. and HBO Max tapped NEWHOUSE for a strategic, gratis influencer marketing campaign hyper-focused on mega, micro, and macro influencer couples with strong social followings and high engagement rates.
NEWHOUSE identified and targeted influencer couples that fit MOONSHOT’s key thematic pillars such as: sci-fi couple fans, college student couples, diversity couples, LGTBQIA+ couples, fans of Lana Condor, fans of Cole Sprouse, etc. for an out-of-this-world, date night campaign that garnered gratis social support for the film and its release date.
NEWHOUSE implemented an efficient workflow and delivered fast results in order to elevate social chatter and secure influencer couples’ support across all social media platforms i.e. TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, FB, etc. that further drove enablement marketing among influencers’ followers to subscribe and/or watch the film on HBO Max.

LOGISTICS
NEWHOUSE kicked things off by assembling and vetting an extensive list of influencer couples for outreach.
In exchange for influencers’ social support, all confirmed influencers received a $100 UberEats code to purchase dinner for a romantic movie night in. Some influencers received an advance screener link to the film and while other influencers already had an HBO Max subscription to watch the film on release date. Influencers posted support on days leading up to release i.e. March 29 and March 30, plus also posted on the film’s release date of March 31, 2022.
THEATER SCREENING
The MOONSHOT campaign slightly shifted with the addition of a special Los Angeles screening on March 23, 2022. The NEWHOUSE team seamlessly confirmed 10 additional LA-based influencer couples. Influencers posted about their date night theater experience on the night of the screening (March 23, 2022) that showcased their fandom and excitement in support of the film’s forthcoming release.
NEWHOUSE captured all of the influencers’ social support in real time. Each post included tagging the studio’s proper handles, along with posting the verbatim social language provided in order to comply with the FTC.
